The quay and Morfa give outdoor options without relying on castle admission. Pet access inside the castle is seasonal, so in much of the year the public exterior and town streets are the shared historic outing. Choose the hotel around that plan rather than assuming all castle areas welcome dogs.

Cadw allows dogs on short leads at ground-floor levels from 4 November to 28 February only. From March to October the site is assistance-dogs only. The town walls are separate and have their own access notices, so check the current closure information before planning a combined visit.

Cadw describes the approach from the visitor centre as a steep path of about 50 metres with several steps. The castle’s ground level is cobbled and uneven in places, and higher vantage points use historic spiral stairs. During the winter pet-dog access period, plan for ground-floor access only.

Morfa Conwy welcomes dogs and provides dog bins. From the east, paths beside the golf course can be uneven or you can walk across the sand; from the west, there is a tarmac route behind the dunes or narrower, uneven sandy paths. Beacons parking is paid May-September, Oval is free, and both car parks have a 1.9 m height limit and no toilets.
The hotel’s general dog information states a £15 nightly supplement per room for up to two dogs; dog rooms should be arranged by calling. A separate “Paws and Relax” offer says dog charges are included, so check which booking rate you are choosing rather than adding or removing the charge by assumption.
The inn’s room page identifies dog-friendly rooms under its Signature Terrace Double category. It describes this room with a private terrace and says twin beds are available on request. The page does not publish dog fees or numbers, so confirm availability and your dog’s arrangement directly; the inn is in the Conwy countryside outside the town centre.
