Bushmills makes a practical base for a dog-friendly Causeway Coast visit, with a clear choice between an inn in the village and self-catering-style rooms at Dunseverick. The Bushmills Inn requires advance agreement for its limited dog rooms; Ramblers Rest offers a different format outside the village. Plan the Giant’s Causeway as the main outing and keep White Park Bay optional. Its beach is scenic, but steep access and dangerous currents make it a walk, not a swimming stop.
Portrush is a good fit for a beach-led break, provided you check the seasonal dog zones before choosing where to walk. A town-centre room at the Atlantic makes a different base from the Inn on the Coast on Ballyreagh Road. The latter has ten ground-floor pet rooms that must be booked by telephone, even if other rooms appear online. Keep the first outing short, then choose East or West Strand for the following morning according to tide, weather and the current signs.
