A short heritage visit and riverside walk leave time to settle in without starting a wider coastal tour.
Forres offers a green-space break that can stay local or reach the Moray coast. Grant Park and Cluny Hill provide a flexible first outing, while a selected coast-trail section towards Findhorn makes a separate day. Reiver House is a town B&B; Tullochwood’s self-catering lodges are at Rafford outside Forres. The lodge woodland is attractive for dogs, but it is not an enclosed private garden.
Lossiemouth is a self-catering coast break with broad shore views and the option to keep walks pleasantly short. Choose the two-bedroom house at Fulmar Road in town or Halliman Cottage at Covesea Lighthouse, outside Lossiemouth.
