The hotel’s dog page limits dog-friendly accommodation to Classic Double and Classic Twin rooms and lists a £15 dog charge. It does not make the charging period clear, so ask the hotel to confirm the total for your dates and the room assigned before booking.
Natural Resources Wales describes the waymarked Coed Nercwys loop as a moderate 2.7-mile (4.4km) walk with about 330ft (100m) of ascent, taking around two hours. The route is shared with cyclists and horse riders travelling in the opposite direction; keep your dog close and check the route map. A separate, unwaymarked Bryn Alyn route is longer and also rated moderate.
Flintshire’s town-trail information says the Mold route takes in the town’s historic streets and Bailey Hill, including its ruins; the Daniel Owen statue is a stated starting point. Treat it as a town-centre heritage wander rather than a waymarked countryside walk.
