The railway’s own current FAQ permits dogs; an older hotel summary suggesting otherwise is not authoritative.
The hotel’s FAQ says £15 per dog per night and asks guests to notify it in advance so a pet-friendly room can be allocated. Its separate hotel-facilities page says £10 per dog per night. Because the operator’s pages conflict, confirm the total charge and room allocation directly before paying; do not assume either figure overrides the other.

Cadw welcomes dogs on short leads at ground-floor levels of the abbey. The ruins are mostly grass with firm, level paths, and the site lists a small car park close to the entrance. Check Cadw’s opening notice before going; it says extreme weather can cause short-notice closures.

No. The Canal & River Trust describes a 6.4 km one-way walk from Llangollen Wharf to the aqueduct, so you can turn back there without crossing it. A full out-and-back to the aqueduct is about 12.8 km; shorten the outing by turning around earlier if that is too far for your dog.
