Pick a route appropriate to your dog’s fitness and the weather. Woodland paths climb steeply and can be slippery; a village outing is a better alternative when conditions are poor.
Dogs welcome under close control around grazing animals. Uneven, strenuous paths are unsuitable for buggies and wheelchairs.
