Start from the National Trust’s Little Dartmouth parking area and choose a coast-path outing suited to the day. The published full circular route is four miles, so a short return walk is a separate, modest choice.
Terrain is uneven and steep in places. Keep dogs controlled around cattle, on leads around sheep, and away from cliff edges.

Little Dartmouth is the simpler starting point for staying on the Dartmouth side. Man Sands offers a different landscape but requires travel towards Kingswear and Woodhuish. Pick one, check the map and weather, and leave time for the return. Avoid fitting both substantial walks into a short break.
