Choose a short waterfront return and check the council’s beach map before going onto the sand. The resort’s busy roads and tram tracks make lead control important.
Central beach between North Pier and the Mirror Ball excludes dogs 1 May–30 September. Dogs must be on leads on the promenade between North and South Piers and where required near roads or tram tracks.
Use the park for an outdoor change from the seafront. Follow its current dog-zone map and select a modest permitted path circuit.
Avoid dog-exclusion zones, play and sports areas and all lake or pond water. Signed parts of Stanley Park require leads 1 June–31 August; keeping your dog close also protects wildlife year-round.
Settle into the arranged room and take a short promenade outing. Skip crowded sections if your dog finds them stressful. Return to your reserved dog-permitted meal space rather than planning an indoor attraction that would require leaving your dog behind.

Choose Stanley Park’s permitted paths for a quieter outing, or a short return to the coast if the conditions suit. Check the dog-zone map and stay out of the park water. Leave room in the schedule for a calm journey home.
