The useful distinction is in the room allocation and dog dining arrangements, rather than the distance between the hotels. Build the castle visit around its permitted ground-floor areas and treat the beach separately from the promenade.

No. Cadw allows pet dogs on short leads on ground-floor levels only, so the visit is a partial castle experience rather than access to every stair and upper level. The castle has uneven, cobbled surfaces; check Cadw’s current opening information before setting out.

Dogs are welcome in all public areas except Hansom’s Dining Room. The hotel currently lists dog-friendly dining in the Llewelyn Suite, where all menus are available, and the Traditional Coffee Lounge. Not every bedroom is dog-friendly, and dogs must not be left unattended; contact the hotel when booking to confirm your room and meal arrangements.

The inn’s direct booking information says selected rooms in the main inn are dog-friendly and allows up to two dogs for £15 per night when booked direct. Tell the inn when booking so it can allocate an eligible room. Its dog page also says dogs must not be left alone in bedrooms; Townhouse rooms are not the dog-room offer.

Only outside the marked restricted area. Anglesey County Council applies its beach restrictions from 1 May to 30 September and publishes a map for the Beaumaris ban area; it says dog owners can still enjoy the beach at each restricted location. Check the posted map at the beach so you do not mistake a permitted promenade walk for permission on every stretch of sand.
The Bull’s Head has no on-site parking. Its current FAQ points guests to charged parking along the seafront at £5 per day. This matters if you are arriving with a dog and luggage: confirm the chosen car park and unloading plan before arrival, rather than assuming the central inn has a private car park.
